Jane Wilde and Lauren Phillips, Estranged Bedfellows Published: December 22, 2020 SCENE OPEN Evelyn (Lauren Phillips), anxiously walking in the living-room. She keeps staring at the door and seems nervous. Bella (Jane Wilde), Evelyn’s stepdaughter, walks through the room, greeting Evelyn with a cheerful smile, but she becomes anxious when she observes Evelyn’s nervousness. Bella inquires Evelyn what’s wrong. She tells Bella she is nervous about meeting Ty, her step-son. He’s coming to stay at our house and should be arriving very soon. The knock at the door interrupts their conversation. Bella and Evelyn both get up and sit down, Bella being excited while Evelyn is more nervous. Ty (Tyler Nixon), enters with a grin. Bella jumps up to Ty and embraces him tight. He is just as excited to meet her, spinning her around and then setting her down. Bella does not seem to be bothered that he lingers on Bella’s lower back. Evelyn notices Ty touch her and seems slightly offended, but she doesn’t address it. Ty rubs her lower back a bit, and he has a lustful expression on his face. Bella does not catch Ty’s lustful glance because her head rests on his shoulder. Evelyn feels more uncomfortable and smiles at Evelyn. It’s nice to get to know you,’ she tells Ty pleasantly. Evelyn is confused and unnerved when Ty smiles knowingly at her.
